Verge of Collapse
Medium: Glass
Time: 2024

If you blow a glass bubble and keep hitting it with heat, the bubble will not burst nor will it begin floating in the air. Instead, it will collapse in on itself until it is no more than a bundle of tight twists and weird turns, wrinkles and folds, and trapped pockets of air and voids. Lessons to be learned; Light pleading to escape from different places. The bubble is no longer fragile for it will have warped and shrank itself within a layer of translucent skin. Time to blow a new bubble.
